Styling an article of clothing multiple ways not only allows you to transition easily from day to evening, it also allows you to get more use out of your clothes. In this post, I chose this tan sweater from Nordstrom and paired it with various accessories and bottoms so that anyone can take an outfit from day to night.
Day Outfit
The window pane skirt with pink gridlines elevates this look for work or a lunch date. We wanted to add some contrast to the outfit by pairing the sweater and skirt with white booties and a white handbag. The block wooden heel in the booties ties in so well with the colors in the clothing. We also chose a hydrating lipstick in the shade Rose Nu, a mid-toned semi-sheer red that isn’t too dramatic for daytime. The eyeshadow palette is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam II palette that one can use for a more minimal daytime look.
When we first saw these Gucci combat boots, we knew we had to style them in an outfit. For this look, we paired the tan sweater with black jeans and accessories to provide an edgy vibe. The Valentino Rockstud purse is so perfect for going out to dinner or a night on the town. We’ve also accentuated this outfit with a bold and classic red lipstick: Mac’s Ruby Woo. The same eyeshadow palette used in the day outfit can also be used at night by using more of the darker tones.
